MCLEAN, Va and Strathclyde, U.K. - DoubleTree by Hilton, the UK's fastest growing upscale brand, and a part of Hilton's (NYSE: HLT) portfolio, today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Strathclyde. The hotel, previously part of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts portfolio, converted to a DoubleTree by Hilton as part of a renovation programme overseen by Hilton and Westmont Hospitality.

Ideally located in the heart of the central belt, situated between the M74 and M8 in Bellshill, the hotel offers unique, contemporary accommodation throughout its 111 guestrooms. DoubleTree by Hilton Strathclyde boasts one of the largest Livingwell Health Clubs in Europe, featuring an extensive range of equipment and an indoor pool. Furthermore, the refurbishment has also seen the arrival of a new on site Starbucks coffee shop.

Along with this there are six meeting rooms onsite, all with natural daylight, situated on the ground floor. All meeting rooms are fully refurbished and overlooking a large event garden, making this flexible space is the ideal for weddings and special events for up to 250 people.
